Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Job Summary:

Dove Contracting is a Pittsburgh area construction services company specializing in commercial retail contracting. Founded in 2007, Dove Contracting, Inc. has succeeded by building solid relationships that form the framework of the construction process. We have an available position for an experienced retail construction superintendent.

Position Summary:

Schedule, coordinate, and supervise jobsite activities. Conduct weekly meetings relating to schedule, performance and safety. Duties demand supervision of a variety of trade groups to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, schedules and safety program.

Essential Functions are:

• Min. Five years’ experience working in a supervisory role as a commercial construction superintendent.
• Be highly motivated, and have the attitude to do what it takes to achieve a successful project.
• Experience in ground-up construction.
• Supervise employees and subcontractors and inspect work to meet or exceed quality standards.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, addenda, contracts, subcontracts and scopes of work.
• Maintain safety standards in accordance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Complete Daily job site reporting.
• Maintain good relations with the owner, architect and/or the owner’s representative and other company managers throughout the project and be completely accessible to them at all times.
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Be able to travel.
• Enjoy what you do!

General knowledge of Microsoft Office tools encouraged and will be a job necessity- specifically Outlook Email, Excel, and Word.
